While this site is not interested in fantasy, and restricts itself to historic figures, there is a wide range of fantasy figures available in 1/72 scale, some of which could potentially have value for those interested in military modelling. One of the biggest of these manufacturers markets their sets under the brand names of 'Dark Alliance' and 'Light Alliance', and it is these which we are concerned with on this page.
For each set we provide our usual picture of the figures plus an indication of the universe that they inhabit, the quantity found in each box and some very brief notes, mainly our initial reaction to the quality of the set. Where weapons or armour reflects the real world, such as the many medieval references found in these sets, we might comment assuming the same issues apply in the fantasy world, although who is to say that the same laws of physics apply there! We know very little about the world of fantasy, as will be very evident in the following pages, but for those who have an interest in such things we hope they will find useful material here, and it does make a change from soldiers!
