The first set of Steppe warriors contained a number of bowmen and others in armour, and this second set is simply more of the same. The costume and armour is much the same, although one figure here has a very sophisticated horse-head helmet, so presumably is a noble or otherwise a man of great wealth. The weapons too are much the same, although here we have a third figure with a ring hand, which can be filled with the provided sword or mace. Also included are a couple of round shields which fit onto the backs of the two archers, plus some quivers and some sort of bag, all of which have pegs but for which there are no holes, so these are just extras for the spares box. The poses are the usual selection, and reasonably useful as a result.

The horses are exactly the same ones as those in the first set, so we have some with coverings and even some with protection for the face. Most of the poses are pretty natural, and all are clearly at the gallop. Sculpting is the same too, so pretty good with nice levels of detail on the armour, and again the fit between man and horse is perfectly engineered. Minimal flash, so this offers more of the sort of horseman we associate with the riders of Rohan, or indeed some real-world possibilities too.
