Here we have another set of Army of the Dead, although it seems more appropriate to call them the undead. This time they are mostly mounted on horses which are themselves in very poor condition and so we must presume are also undead. This seems rather harsh on these poor beasts, since in the Lord of the Rings the Army of the Dead were men cursed never to die due to breaking an oath, so why the poor horses were also included in this is unclear. Regardless, we have another pretty random set of medieval warriors in an assortment of clothes and armour, much of which could be pressed into service in the real world too. The limbs are somewhat wasted but the faces could pass for living humans on the whole. However a couple of the poses wear very little, and they are more obviously not living beings. The horses, with bare legs and in many cases a bare body too, are fairly clearly little more than bones, so wouldn't work in a non-fantasy setting.

The array of weapons which might be categorised as 'light' are fairly standard, and include a crossbowman as the second man in the second row. The shields are often crude planks of wood held together, and come in a variety of shapes. The sculpting is okay, but we thought not as good as some of the earlier sets, and there is quite a lot of flash too. The men sit nicely on the saddles, and since there are only 10 horses, the extra two foot figures are quite useful.
