This set contains the same six warg models as are to be found in several previous sets, only this time there are no riders and the creatures are by themselves. However since the models are the same, all of them still have the saddle and harness, which makes them unsuitable for anything other than as a ride for some other creature. This is fine in itself, but it is not quite the same as a pack of wild wargs. Wargs, a form of large and very intelligent wolf, date back to Norse mythology, but as animals primarily to be ridden they are mainly associated with the works of J R R Tolkien, which is probably what is intended here. Most of the poses are running, so there is lots of energy here, although the two in the bottom row are less active. These creatures stand at about 20 mm tall at the shoulder, and we really liked all of the poses - the arrow sticking out of one can easily be removed if desired. The anatomy looks great, with large fearsome heads, and a fine job has been made of the fur too. The creature with armour also looks impressive, and we found practically no flash anywhere, so as mounts for your preferred species these make for a splendid option.
