As with the rest of this series, the box gives no clues as to the origins of the figures other than the title, but some have identified these as Esterlings from the Lord of the Rings universe. They have a helmet with protruding bits that largely covers the face too, and on the clothing they have leaf-shaped plates of armour covering part of the chest as well as the arms and legs. A short cloak hangs at the back, and the lower legs are covered with bindings. A wide belt made up into sections completes the ensemble, so these give the appearance of quite heavy warriors. Their weaponry consists of swords (mostly curved), exotic polearms and bows. Most also carry a shield of interesting design, and the bowmen carry their arrows in a quiver on the back that holds them in a fan shape. Regardless of what they are supposed to depict, we rather liked this appearance.

The poses are conventional but not particularly flat, and the sculpting is good, with the large amount of detail all being quite clear. Flash is at a low level, so these are well presented. Although looking nothing like any historical warrior that we know of, they make a nice group for some fantasy battle.
