In the sort of harsh conditions that the Inuit lived the only beast of burden was the dog. Today they have motorised vehicles, but for centuries the dog was a vital part of their way of life. This set includes seven such animals in a variety of poses, plus their human handler. As with all of the Eskimo range the sculpting is excellent, with great textural detail on the coats of both man and dog, and no flash of any sort. None of the pieces comes with a base, so those shown above were added by us to allow them to be painted. The fine detail achieved using this resin makes it a good material for the tiny parts such as the legs of the dogs, although these could be quite fragile if mishandled. The soft mould has allowed a more natural stance for the dogs, which look great.
It is hard to know what else to say about this set. It delivers exactly what it promises, and with the sort of quality that we have come to expect from Nikolai. If you are in need of Husky dogs then look no further.
