This set of Zulus is another interesting and unusual subject from this very innovative company. Though labelled as prisoners, only the man kneeling with his hands bound behind his back is clearly so, while the rest can just as easily be Zulu civilians. The five figures are all in non-aggressive poses, and have been very nicely sculpted in either a robe or the umutsha (loincloth).
The figures are cast in black resin, and have not been provided with any bases - we added the bases you see above to facilitate painting. They adhered very well to the hard plastic bases we put them on, so this is not a problem.
Of course in this case uniform is not applicable and equipment is non-existent, but there is instead the equally challenging task of realistically portraying the human body. That challenge has been met admirably, with correct proportions throughout. Such clothing as there is has been well done with all the folds correctly modelled, making them very easy to paint.
This set is of an unorthodox subject from a company that has consistently produced top quality figures. Well deserving of a place in any collection.
