This is another set of game pieces for the Zvezda 'Art of Tactic' game system. The four figures in this set can either be based individually as shown above or grouped together in the manner of a game piece as shown here. Some of the figures come in several parts, but where there is assembly the extraordinary tight tolerances of Zvezda engineering mean everything fits together perfectly and with no need for glue. The poses are very good and everywhere the sculpting and detail are excellent. Zvezda have given each man some different uniform elements, all of which are quite correct and well done. Most wear the sailor's cap, one has the pea jacket and another just wears the striped under-shirt. All wear boots, as they would when operating on land, and the classic crossed ammunition belts on the chest are another authentic touch. Weaponry consists of a couple of rifles, a submachine gun and a DP light machine gun. All are beautifully realised and quite appropriate. This may be more a game piece than a set of figures in the traditional sense, but the quality of production and the historical accuracy are beyond reproach and the figures are superb.
