Review

MIR subjects are always unusual, but this one is plain surreal. As can be seen above, there are three pieces. The first is a man lying with his legs over an oil drum. Why he is doing this we cannot tell, though there is a bottle near him so he may be drunk. The second piece is a man lying beside a disassembled mortar, and the third is an oil drum and what appears to be part of a tank track.

Our first thought on this set was 'why would anyone want these figures?' Leaving that aside though, the detail is of the usual MIR standard, that is to say pretty poor. Nothing much can be made out on the uniform, so the men could be any nationality. The head of the second man is particularly bad, being virtually featureless.

There is much evidence to suggest MIR simply change other people's products and then sell them as their own. If this is true here then we were unable to detect it, but it is difficult to see why anyone would want these poor quality figures doing nothing very much.
