||3 figures and 3 couches
We commented on both symposia and triclinums in our comments on set 1 of this series, so for this set we can simply say that this is more of the same thing. Here we find three more people relaxing on their couch, although this time they are further on their backs. Nevertheless they are engaged in the same dining and/or drinking activity, and are very nice poses. Again one man seems to hold a cup, while the rest are empty-handed, but all the poses look very natural. As with the first set, our photograph does these figures a disservice as they should be viewed whilst reclined on their couches as shown on the packaging above.
As always with this manufacturer, the sculpting is excellent and the detail, such as there is, is crisp and sharp. The middle figure seems to wear some form of half tunic half toga which we find doubtful, but the other two wear ordinary tunics and look fine. The accessory in this set is the stool, which comes with the legs separate. Again a nice set.
