Review

The new Art of Tactic game system from Zvezda was developed from the start to depict the battle between the Red Army and the Axis forces between 1941 and 1945, and so naturally one of the very first sets would be for Soviet infantry.

This game piece consists of three poses of infantrymen as shown. Each figure can either be attached to a separate base, or grouped together as a game piece as seen here, See the sprue image for full details of the parts that are included in this set, which also includes game cards for the unit. Although not really a figure set in the traditional sense, the figures are accurate and quite nicely done, although the running figure with that somewhat exaggerated right leg and very flat posture is not going to win many friends, and the supposed officer figure looks a little odd with his right arm tucked in so tightly to his body. The figures are correctly clothed and equipped, however, so while only three poses are on offer they are all quite usable.
